Youth

What We Offer

To offer opportunities that engage young people in positive, healthy, Christian/spiritual ways. Our goal is that all youth in the community will be involved in St. Matt's or Outreach related activities.

  • Work Days - Summertime half days of odd jobs around St. Matthew's. The use of supersoakers may be involved.
  • Sunday School - Classes during 10 am services during the school year for pre-schoolers, primary, intermediate and young teens. Taught by parishioners using a standard curriculum: The Whole People of God.
  • Teens - Youth Group meets, plans and does. Be ready for some fun!
  • Youth Orchestra - Bring an instrument and play during occasional Sunday Services and concerts.
  • Folk Group - Guitars and more during Sunday Services on the second Sunday of the month.
  • Youth Forum Cooordination - Working with Guidance Counselors at Goffstown Area High School on issues of importance to teens.
  • Partnership with Crispins House - Local oraganization dedicated to youth.
  • Hosting Girls Scouts - Girl Scout troops use St. Matthew's facility for meetings.
  • Youth Delegate - Delegate to Episcopal Diocese of NH Southern Convocation.
  • Nursery help - During Sunday Services.
  • Acolytes - ministry for those parishioners 4th grade through adult who wish to assist at the Altar during worship.

  • Alcohol and Drug Use Programs: Making Change
  • Youth helping with Community Clothing Center - Volunteering monthly to put clothes on racks and assist customes.
  • Supporter of the Volunteens program.  The organization links teens to local, safe volunteer opportunities. Email ghsvolunteens@gmail.com.
