Parish Notes - March 29, 2018
St. Matthew's Holy Week and Easter services will reflect the entire range of the bleakness of Jesus' betrayal, suffering and death to the joy of his resurrection. We are called to actively take part in this week in order to experience the truth of its message - that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus because, "having loved his own who were in the world, Jesus loved them to the end" (John 13:1). We need to hear and taste and see this unconditional love of God in Christ Jesus. We need to receive it and embrace it because...
Jesus sends us out - to "a world of doubt" that desperately needs to hear this Good News as well, needs to experience it and taste and see it with their own eyes. And they will do that through you! Through us here at St. Matt's.
Pray that your time here may all be life-changing and life-giving so that as Jesus sends us out, we may have something truly good to share with others.
Jesus does live again! Alleluia!
Peace, Nancy
Please note the rector will be on vacation next week.

Got 2 hours a month to spare?
The Community Clothing Center needs TWO good souls to take once a month shift. A person is needed as a Key Person (shift leader) on the 2nd Thursday of each month 3-5pm.  The Key Person opens, handles the cash sales and justifies the money, supervises the volunteers and closes. Training and support are provided.   A person is also needed on the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 1-2pm, to help put clothing on the racks and assist customers. Help! Please contact the office or Sharon or Joan Alayne for more information. Thank you!
